Better ,better day

Last couple of days kicked my butt. Today I felt better. I woke up this morning motivated to get yard work done. Plus, I have a project to do at Sally's mom. I went to Lowe's to pick up stuff for her house. Sally cut the grass which gave me time to do work on our yard. I am hoping to plant seeds in the next couple of days, mainly Sun Flower seeds for Zachary. Tomorrow, I am planning to go to my mom in laws to help her out.

Not much more to say about the day. The Cubs and Sox will play later on tonight. The Cubs are on a three game winning streak Only the second time all year they have won three in a row. The Sox are on a two Game losing streak.
We are going to a have a search party tonight for Zachary's glasses. He has no idea where he put them at. So I guess I will do the dinner menu tonight for those of you that miss it. We will still do it on occasion.

My stomach still isn't 100% from chemo. Meats do not sound good to me at all. I wanted to have a light meal. Sally with love made tortellini soup. It consisted of freshly chopped sweet onion and garlic which were simmered in olive oil until translucent. The lightest vegetable broth was used. Along with fresh vine ripped chopped tomatoes, sweet crispy carrots, the freshest spinach we could fine chopped, fresh basil, tarragon, chopped parsley and a pinch of pepper. Simmered under low heat until all the flavors blended so tastefully. Fresh delicate tortellini which was made from the perfect blend of five cheeses was carefully added. Lastly, freshly grated Parmesan, Romano, and Asiago cheese was sprinkled on top of each serving. Each and every bite was bursting with flavor which made my taste buds practically jump out of my mouth with gratification.

I am going to stop here. Zach needs help with his homework and with everything else I need to do before I go to bed. it's may be a while before I go to bed. Tomorrow I will be have to start my fasting to be prepared for the fun on Wednesday. I hope he takes longer than it did the last time. Not because I enjoyed it but because of the great news I received.
God Bless you all.

  1. Yes, I'm extremely worried that by attending the Cubs game last Friday I have accidentally lifted the Billy Goat curse that has kept them from winning a World Series for more than 100 years.

See, I've never liked the Cubs...and I've never believed in modern-day curses, but it seems that since the middle of Friday's Cubs game until now, they are really kicking butt.

If this winning strek just keeps going and going, then we'll know the curse may have been lifted. Oh, yes, and after that Friday night, the Sox have been playing terrible!

    What did I do????????

  2. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU DAN!!!!! cub fans everywhere are thankful to you for lifting the curse! WHY didn't anyone think of this sooner, all it took was a sox fan to go to a game! SWEET! 4 in a row!
oh bill dan really IS a good friend of yours..look what he has done! :)

  3. did you find zach's glasses?

  4. Yes Zach's glasses were found. Much to the chi grin of zachary Bill
