Bring it on!

I am ready and waiting. We are suppose to be getting 6-9 inches of snow tonight.  This is the first time (since I have been an adult) I am looking forward to the snow.  I have boots, a warm jacket, gloves, hat, scarfs (thanks to Deb), and a snow blower with gas ready to go. I haven't had a running snow blower in 10 years. We were so blessed during Christmas that after we were caught on the bills we had some money left.  Knowing we could really use it in the near future I wanted to hold on to it.  However, my wife said I needed a snow blower.  I tried to talk her out of it (well sort of). There is no stopping Sally when she makes up her mind.  She picked out the snow blower. Yes, she picked it out. She will not let me make a purchase of any kind without her checking out how it rated with people who bought the the item and wrote what they thought about it. So I had the luxtury of choosing one of her two favorites. I picked out what I liked best and she made arrangement with our friend, Ron, to get it, since we have a car and he has a truck.  I did say a soft "no" a couple of times but I didn't want to hurt Sally's feeling since she went through a lot for me to get a snow blower.  Honestly, I did feel guilty because I know there are so many other ways for spending the money but I know it's going to be easier on me then shoveling.  I do not like Sally to shovel because of her back but I might let her use my new toy when I am not feeling well. I did say I might. I'm not totally crazy and only if not feeling well. Actually she will probably have to sneak it to use it. Like if it was late at night and I'm in a deep sleep.

Tonight, we even went to Walmart to stock up on food, in case it snows and the roads are bad.  We were able to do this because yesterday in the mail we received a surprised. I am not sure from who but some wonderful person sent us a gift card to Walmart.  It arrived at a perfect time since the cabinets and refrigerator were getting bare. God does work in amazing ways.  Thank you to whoever it was.  I hope you are blessed as much as I have been. I also ran into a friend and co-worker from Avery/Eckart at Wal-Mart. Deb it was nice seeing you and talking to you. Take care and hope ypu have a great New Year. Take care and God Bless you all.
I love my scarf, my friend Deb made for me. It matches my hat.

  1. Hey Bill,
How about blowing some of that snow our way. We've had very little snow so far this winter. No snow means drought conditions here in Utah. The skiers wouldn't mind seeing more of it either.
