My Dad by ZC

Hi! It's me Zachary writing this. .My dad is OK but he is hurting. Please pray for my dad.  The reason my dad isn't writing blogs because he doesn't feel good and sleeps a lot. My mom has a lot of  head aches and my dad isn't feeling well.  I wasn't feeling good too because I had surgery. But I feel better now. .Kaity and Michael is doing well. Wait a second. Dad if you are reading this I want you to know that  I love you dad so much that I can give the turtles away if it would make you feel better.  I love my turtles but I love you more. I pray for  you every night.

OK I'm sorry let's go with the blog. I feel sad when my dad hurts because he can't do stuff with us like he use to.  I miss it very much.  I remember when I was told 3 years ago my dad had cancer. I was sad then and I am still sad now.  The bad thing is, my dad has to stay home now when we go out.  It makes me feel a part of my family is missing and things aren't the same.  Last year my dad was able to play football with me and do other fun things and now he can't.  I wish my dad didn't have cancer and I wish he would get better. I know he will always have cancer and it will be a miracle if he get's better.  I get sad seeing him hurt.  I cry every night because I hate seeing him hurt.  Please God Bless my dad.

So now, that's the end of my blog.  I appreciate if you pray for my dad.

  1. Zachary,
Please know that we are praying very hard for your dad. We love him very much too. We also love you, your mom, Kaity and Michael. You are a very special boy and it is ok to be sad when you're sad, but, it is ok to be happy when you feel happy too. I know things are hard right now, but, things will get better. We need to pray for peace and to be able to feel God being close to us. Sometimes when we feel like God is far away ... that is when He is the closest to us. I love you sweetie and I promise to pray for your dad and you and your whole family every day.
    Love,

  5. Zach, I am sorry for the pain & hurting that you & your family are feeling. Your dad is a wonderful person and I am sorry that he has cancer. My family & I will continue to pray for your dad, for you and your family. It is ok to feel sad and it is also ok to feel happy when you remember the fun times with your dad.
Our Lord is mighty and prayers are very powerful. Try not to worry because "worry are prayers that haven't been said".

  10. Hey Zach,
It is OK to cry. What your dad and family are going through hurts all of you, not just your dad. When my husband was going through chemo and radiation his kids made a paper chain with different thoughts on them to let him know they loved him and were thinking of him. It helped our kids and dad through a scary time. Maybe you could use the idea to help your family. You just write your thought or a memory on the strip of paper. After your dad reads it, attach it to the chain using glue or a staple. If you glue it so the message is on the outside of it, you can reread them when you need a pick me up. If you use different colors, for different people, you will know who wrote which message. It could be fun to see how long it gets. Your dad might even be able to tell you some things to write on some strips from him to you.
I'm glad you are feeling better from your own surgery.
I hope this idea helps you like it did my kids.
    Praying for you all.
